PRESENCE is a performance exploring the material and immaterial body. Starting as a lone, vertical silhouette occupying a small fraction of the space, my body slowly grows to the point where it physically inhabits the entire room, competing with the surrounding architecture. At this point the body releases its internal energy to the audience, leaving the limp, binding membrane on stage. The performance spans the multiple realities of the body from its physical limitations to its commanding presence to its liberating dematerialization.
